  • 3 years

Felony theft, robbery, kidnapping or burglary, injury to elderly or disabled, abandoning or endangering child, or insurance fraud.

  • 5 years

Murder, manslaughter, sexual assault of child, aggravated sexual assault of child, sexual assault with inconclusive DNA, continuous sexual abuse of young child or children, indecency with child, or accident involving death, and leaving the scene.

  • No limitations period

Sexual performance by child under Pen. 43.25, aggravated kidnapping with intent to abuse sexually, or burglary of a habitation with intent to commit sexual assault or aggravated sexual assault against child, continuos sexual abuse of child, or aggravated kidnapping with intent to abuse sexually.

  • 20 years from 18th birthday of victim if victim is younger than 17 years of age at the time offense is committed.

Injury to child under Pen. 22.04

  • 10 years from 18th birthday of victim

Felony theft of any estate with intent to defraud, theft by public servant, forgery, injury to elderly or disabled, sexual assault, or arson.

  • 10 years

Misapplication of fiduciary property or property of a financial institution, securing execution of a document by deception, false statement to obtain property or credit, money laundering, credit or debit card abuse, or fraudulent use of possession or identifying information.

  • 7 years

Criminal attempt

  • Same limitations period as that of offense attempted

Criminal conspiracy or organized criminal activity

  • Same limitations period as that of most serious offenses that is object of conspiracy or organized criminal activity

Criminal solicitation

  • Same limitations period as that of felony solicited

Aggravated offenses

  • Same limitations period as primary crime
